Labuan Bajo is a port harbor with its main attraction, the Komodo Dragon. There are day tours that you can take: Komodo Island with five other stops and Rinca Island with 3 other stops. The harbor master closed Komodo Island for 7 days due to weather but Rinca Island was open. The snorkeling is phenomenal with purple, green coral that look like cauliflower and broccoli florets with many colorful fish. There is no need to book tours ahead. You can walk down to the dock area and book with any of the vendors selling packages. Even the LBJ airport has tours available.
We rented scooters to visit Rangko Cave and nearby Batu Cermin cave. The ride is beautiful and scenic. There is lots of seafood in this port town ranging from sea and lake fish, lobster, crab and squid.
Labuan is worth a three day visit.

I love it here.
I love it here. The people are so friendly, the food is very good, and the scenery is beautiful. You can book many trips, overland or to other islands, and of course see the Komodo dragon.
There are some beautiful beaches too.
I will come back again!

Great area, but the main attraction is the boat trips to visit the surrounding islands, beaches and Komodo dragons. We booked a 2d1n boat trip. We fitted in lots to this short itinerary but a extra night in the boat, as opposed to the land, would have been better.
Seemed more to do at the opposite side of the island but its too far for a day trip.
Great night market down by the port and lots of fresh fish and fruit available for sale.

It’s rare I’m writing reviews. So far, I shared only 5-6. I’m writing only if it was exceptionally amazing experience or a real disaster…
It’s the first time for me to share an extremely negative experience.
When you arrive at hotel, you expect me to feel minimum trust with it
I stayed for 2 nights in this budget hotel. Usually, people traveling to Flores Island to take one of the ‘Komodo island day trips’. They will be picked up very early in the morning (5:30-6:00am). The trip operator gives clear instructions of how to prepare? what to bring? Ect.
Due to the intensity of the day structure, the traveler has to bring a breakfast box (because it will be very long, before food can be in reach).
I asked the hotel manager if they can provide it to me? She confirmed, mentioning it’s a usual procedure in that area.
5:15 I arrived at the reception… no one was there. Neither the breakfast box.
Things can happen, it’s not a big deal…
When returning back from the day trip, I asked reception to shortly talk with the hotel manager, just to understand what happened? The hotel manager refused to communicate and just disappeared until I departed the next day.
I’ve never experienced before such a behavior, specially from a hotel manager…
It raised a big big Red Flag.
Bottom line: I’ll not recommend to arrive in this hotel. Basically, It’s not to be trusted.

Labuan Bajo needs to be careful with how many resorts they are throwing up all over the place. And educate everyone to stay away form the coral and do not touch the sea life. Float and observe. No fins necessary most of the time. You can float and see more and not damage the coral with big clumsy fins.

For those who love nature, I'm really recommend especially to the Island. Everything was soo nature and nice scenery. Spend at least 3 days as to ensure the place must be visited is captured. Local are soo friendly and helpfull. Don't forget to try snorkerlling if thats a trial for anyone.
I really liked how spacious the room was and the fact that they even helped us kindly edit our booking because we had to cut short our trip by one day. The staff was extremely helpful in carrying our bags up and down from our room. The room was clean and well maintained. If you are a solo traveller who’s planning on staying in Labuan Bajo for at least a week or longer, this may be ideal for your pocket, it’s budget friendly. Additionally, they have a cafe downstairs which is easily accessible for some great food options.
I have stayed with Pak Telldy and Ibu Rellyn several times over the past few years, and I much prefer to stay a little out of Labuan Bajo rather than in the centre. I get treated like family, and look forward to my stays here. This time, particularly enjoyed meeting Justin, a lovely lad who reminds me greatly of my own son. These days, I don't feel the need to go on trips to Komodo and so on, but these are available. Overall, a great place to stay. Always someone around to assist, whether it's Justin, Rellyn or Telldy.
The property was very clean and comfortable. the staff, particularly Imelda, went above and beyond to help me and give me lifts to places as they appreciate the location is a little out of the way. However, it’s a lovely area and I met some local children - a much better representation of the community of Labuan Bajo than any property near the pier. Comfortable, large bed and lovely to have a mini kitchen and be able to make coffee. Very spacious! Only recently on Booking.com, but deserves excellent reviews!
Suni is such a nice guy, very welcome, smiling and good hearted. He served breakfast right away when we arrived and is always available to help and make it easier for you. The facility is clean, well located and way better than other hotels nearby. I totally recommend the Blue Parrot for a nice trip in Labuan Bajo. You guys ask Suni for the motorbike rental and the Komodo trip as well, he has got some good deals so you can save some money. Thank you so much Suni!
Nata is a really kind and helpful person, he helped me renting the scooter and planning my route around the island. He was pending all the time about my needs and finding a solution always.
All his suggestions were so helpful
Sunset from the place is just amazing
The place is new and beds and pillows are very comfortables
Shower and toilets are clean
I stayed in the mixed room also, and the a/c and wifi worked fine
Nice place to stat in Labuan Bajo!
Stayed there for a week as we completed several intensive dives in the Komodo park. The staff did everything they could to satisfy our needs, and did it always with a smile. From arranging continuous taxi pick-ups (free of charge) to helping us with motorbike rental, and serving a very early and timely breakfast. It's a little bit away from the hustle and buzzle of Labuan Bajo but completely doable via pick-ups, Grab or by renting your own motorbike.
Location is great, near the jetty where the boats set off for the island hopping tours. The breakfast is really the highlight - honestly one of the best meals I've had in Labuan Bajo. You get to dine outside your room in the garden with a lovely view. There is a clothesline outside the room to dry your clothes after snorkeling. The owner is very hospitable and we felt very well taken care of.
The staff are amazing, and the hotel it self is very comfortable, the pool is excellent, my daughter always spent so much time in their pool, when its evening, we can see a beautiful sunset too, perfect hotel for my family, next time to labuan bajo, definitely will stay in this hotel again, very recommended specially for family ❤️❤️
A very warm welcome from the owners, the place is well located, a little out of the way, '''Ask the owners to rent a motorbike''', which is very practical in Labuan Bajo. The house is surrounded by a well-kept and peaceful garden. The room is large.
Good size room with a balcony where I could see the Labuan Bajo harbour in the distance. Could get a few English programs on the TV. Their cafe/bar over looks a they’re nice pool with a great view of the hills in the background.
Central location in Labuan bajo. Small hotel, with nice details and bar/restaurant with great views.
Beds were very comfortable, and the room was ideal for one night stay before going on a boat tour to komodo Islands.
Located in the center of Labuan Bajo , this small hotel is run by very helpful staff . Good address for one night before visiting the numerous sites in Komodo
Plenty of bars and restaurants options in the vicinity
Plastics trash needs to be brought back to Labuan Bajo by clients, uses solar panels, very relaxing atmosphere and crystal clear sea for snorkelling and swimming.
Good hotel in Labuan Bajo. The staff is always trying to help you. The rooms are quiet at night You can easily walk from Labuan Bajo centre to the hotel (15min)
Great place a short trip from Labuan Bajo centrée/ Marina
Very good breakfast, clean and lovely dinner
Nice pool and glorious views from the beach at sunset
